Every Sunday night I need a little encouragement for myself to get through my upcoming week. I pump myself up, tell myself I can do it, try not to let the little things get to me & to keep a sense of humor through it all.
I like to reflect on skits from Saturday Night Live to help me:
"Pumping up With Hans and Frans" where Dana Carvey & Kevin Nealon are here to "Pump...you up!"
"Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy" where random statements make a lot of sense.
"Daily Affirmations with Stuart Smalley" where "You're Good Enough, You're Smart Enough...and doggone it, people like me!"
"Happy Fun Ball" where the warnings outweigh the fun. "Do not TAUNT Happy Fun Ball!"
and when all else fails...
"Wayne's World...Party Time...Excellent!!"
I can try to get by this week on all of those catchphrases. And in the words of Jack Handey:
"I hope life isn't a big joke, because I don't get it."
