We went back to Disneyland today, I finally got my tickets, Bailey finally got to go on Small World AND we went back to Build-A-Bear to get her a bear...or in this case, a dog. Now, I know I should not have spent money I don't have to buy her a stuffed animal that are overflowing out of the box in the living room in addition to the 2 boxes I've "rotated" out of the room for awhile. It's not the fact that she "needs" these things, or even begs for them. I realized today that the reason I bought the dog was because I wanted to see the look on her face. Me, me, me. It was actually worth $40 to watch her hold the little dog's unstuffed body, take it to the woman who did the stuffing, hear her tell the lady her name was "Bay-Dee", tell her the dog's name would be "Doggie", and do the little ritual/dance with the tiny heart that they put inside the dog before they sewed her shut. The fun continued when we got home and she was telling "Doggie" what a diaper was, what "ba-ba" was (her nickname for nursing) and making me kiss "Doggie" good night. I paid for the show, not the toy. And the show will continue for my entire lifetime. Seeing the look on a child's face when they are happy really is priceless. Or in this case, $39.69...
