Perspectives

What Daddy knows...

Mommy's tired.
Mommy's burnt out.
Mommy doesn't want to be touched.
The kids are unruly.
The kids won't eat.
The kids are too sleepy to sleep.
The house is a disaster.
The laundry is still in the machine.
The dishes are still in the sink.
The diaper pail is overflowing.

What Daddy doesn't know...

The baby had a blast taking the clean diapers out of the box and throwing them around.
The 4-year old drew many pictures of the "hungry monster" eating a variety of foods.
All 3 girls played in the backyard and hid Easter eggs all over the grass, laughed, and smiled.
Mommy picked all 6 of the almost dead roses and put the petals in a basket for the 4-year old to play "wedding" and ran around sprinkling them all over the lawn.
The baby learned how to safely crawl off Mommy's bed.
Mommy watched both girls play "kitchen" together for the first time.
The baby took four steps alone.
The 4-year old read stories to the baby...and she listened to them.
Everyone had a mid-day dance party to Disney songs.
Mommy got to build a Lego restaurant with the 4-year old.
Mommy got to snuggle with the baby twice.
The baby learned how to master "more" and "done" in sign language.
